The Marlborough District Council engaged Simcox (the Blenheim based division of Isaac Construction) to complete the development of the next stage of the Bluegums Landfill in Blenheim.
The Waikawa Road Shoulder Upgrade project involved earthworks, installation of services (mainly stormwater), the preparation and pouring of concrete kerb and footpaths and roading with chip seal for Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency
The Park Terrace Stopbank project was the last of the earthquake damage projects in the Marlborough District Council budget. Due to time constraints Marlborough District Council need a contractor to finish the works within a 6 month window over summer before any potential winter flooding occurred.
The existing stopbank protecting the Moleta Vineyard was two-thirds eroded prior to works commencing. If this bank were eroded entirely, the river would flood, damage and erode the adjacent vineyard.
