To date, there has been 33,000m3 of material placed and 4,000T of armour rock. Each of the 3,000 loads of rock had to be carted through the heart of Picton town and Waikawa. It has been a great effort by the team to complete this work to a very high standard, on time and with a lot of positive feedback from the community and our client Port Marlborough.

We are now working around the tides to finish the remaining works which will be completed by the first week of September. Next year, we’ll be returning to install the remaining services and complete the roading portion of the works.

The project has had a write up on Stuff this week which you can view below, there are some renders of the finished marina which give a good view of what this area will look like in 2022.
